Dolby Atmos transports you into the story with moving audio that flows all around you with breathtaking realism. Atmos is a revolution in cinema sound that permits the sound designer to place objects anywhere in the auditorium’s “ATMO-Sphere.” With Dolby Atmos, sound comes from all directions, including overhead. Dialogue and music is clearer, and the entire soundscape is richer, more detailed, and deeper, recreating the way sound behaves in real life.
Dolby Atmos is available exclusively in the ARQ® auditoriums at Studio City Mesa in Casper, the Capitol Cinema 12 in Cheyenne, and Laramie’s Studio City UW Plaza.
Dolby first approves the theatre equipment, then determines the exact location of each speaker. The Atmos installation at Studio City Mesa consists of 36 unique channels of sound, reproduced over five screen speakers, six front dual subwoofers, two ceiling subwoofers, and 28 side and ceiling surround speakers. There are a total of 80 amplifiers powering the system. The complete Atmos system utilizes the Meyer EXP self-powered array of speakers. Known for their accuracy and clarity, Meyer EXP speakers are used in the most prestigious Hollywood mixing studios. Once the installation is complete, Meyer calibrates the system to certified Dolby standards for total accuracy.
Experience how Dolby Atmos transports you from the ordinary into the extraordinary.
