Film Inquiries

The most frequent email we get is asking why a particular film is not playing in one of our locations. In the US, there are about 39,000 auditoriums located in 6,000 movie theatres. Only the film companies can decide how many prints will be made available for their releases and which theatres will get those prints. For a major release, there may be 6000 or more prints made, enough for even the smallest towns. Typical wide releases (2000 to 2500 prints) will include Casper, Cheyenne, Laramie and Rock Springs. But when the count drops below 2000, the availability becomes much tighter. In the case of most “specialized” films, the print count is well under 1000, often fewer than 100, and these rarely play beyond their initial major market engagements.

In Casper, Cheyenne, Laramie and Rock Springs we play nearly EVERY title offered to us by the major film companies. If you don’t see it on our schedule, it is because a print was not made available. HOWEVER, we do welcome your suggestions as to which titles to program in the future. DUE TO THE LARGE VOLUME OF REQUESTS, WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO RESPOND TO EVERY FILM INQUIRY.
